 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actor when she was a young girl, soon after her move to the United States. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 to 2016 - and in 2020 - have made her famous. Her commercial appearances were not the only thing she was involved in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub, who was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub is an Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native, and also an American Jew. At the age of two, she and her parents relocated to the U.S. as refugees to get away from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to the family's financial difficulties, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she was kicked out of her sophomore year and obtained an GED. Following that, she went on to receive an Associate of Arts degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. With the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
